Reflective Mylar Film | 2 mil & 5 mil
Mirror Mylar is our material of choice for our first project. It can be ordered by the roll from a variety of companies. We purchased ours from Nielsen Enterprises.
I worked with this material during my senior year at Herron in Indianapolis, and wished to push some of my discoveries further during this residency. During this installation, Jesse and I are exploring the complexities of this simple, singular material. Jesse is producing sounds that reflect the material's eerie, ethereal qualities. He is experimenting with repetitive sounds that mimic my way of working in an obsessively repetitive manner. The project is coming together nicely.

For now, the mirror cylinders are on the back burner. We are excited to present our show on Saturday, especially because it will be interactive, something neither of us have done in an art installation. The idea is simple and effective.
More to follow in the coming days, with video documentation after the show. We need to resist giving everything away in images and videos, seeing as the show has not yet happened. Please check back for more imagery and updates on our progress.
This looks fascinating. Anyone lucky enough to be in attendance at the show is in for a multisensory treat!
